Albert Cotugno

LSAT Score: 179

Albert is the founder of Insight LSAT and the originator of the Insight Approach, which he used to improve his score 18 points from a diagnostic score of 161. He received offers from the law schools at Harvard, Stanford, NYU (full scholarship), and University of Chicago (full scholarship plus $15,000 per year stipend). He began study at NYU Law but decided to leave to pursue doctoral work in philosophy. He is currently in a philosophy PhD program at the University of British Columbia.

Albert's biggest strengths as a tutor come from his background in philosophy. His explanations are clear and precise, and he has a strong understanding of the logical principles that underlie the test. His tutoring style often involves guiding his students to their own understanding of the "hidden patterns" in the test through a series of pointed questions, a method inspired by the Ancient Greek philosopher Socrates.

Tyler Millhouse

LSAT Score: 177

Tyler is a PhD student in philosophy at the University of Arizona, and he received his MA in philosophy from Tufts University. His research focuses on the relationship between philosophy and computer science, with a special emphasis on the philosophy of machine learning. Before attending Tufts, Tyler considered attending law school and was accepted to NYU, University of Michigan, Duke, and Cornell--all with substantial scholarships. While he did not ultimately attend law school, he credits the many hours he spent preparing for the LSAT with sharpening his analytical skills and helping him prepare for graduate school.

Tyler has taught (or assisted in teaching) courses at three universities, including courses in cognitive science, logic, and critical thinking. As an LSAT tutor, Tyler focuses on providing personalized, one-on-one instruction to transform students' understanding and performance.
